Halloween is such a fun holiday! I just love the energy with the costumes and the festivities. This year we have a bonus, it’s on the weekend. Steve and I have been traveling for the past month. We are looking forward to reconnecting with friends and family on this Halloween weekend.
Our festivities will start Friday, some friends are coming over for dinner and Steve will be introducing his new cocktail, the Halloweenie – tini. I will be warning our guests to indulge with caution, this one will creep up on you.
On Saturday we’re going over to see the Grandchildren in their costumes and trick or treat with them. We chatted on the phone the other night and they are so excited. Eleanor is going to be a Banana, Elizabeth is a Peacock and Estelle, the baby, will be Minnie Mouse. I’ve not seen them in a few weeks and I’m really looking forward to hanging out with them and seeing their costumes. I found some photos of last year and they were adorable. Never fear, as the proud grandparent I will be posting pictures to Social media on the big night.
I’ve prepared a Halloween Basket for them of Clementine’s and other orange fruits, hoping to inject some healthy options amongst all of the sugar they will be inhaling. After the Trick or Treating with the kids, Steve and I will wander downtown for the festivities and to see the parade of costumes in downtown Annapolis.
What plans do you have for the weekend? The weather will be glorious, here at least, and we are looking forward to making some memories. I hope you are too. Remember, Table Talk is a conversation, so please share a story below, or on Facebook!
- 1 oz Oragne Juice
- 1 oz Pomegranite Juice
- 2 oz Super A Juice or any type of Carrot Juice Mix
- 3 oz Vodka
- Orange Wheels and Green Olives
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously for a few moments until the liquid is well
- chilled. Pour into chilled Martini Glasses, garnish with the orange wheels and olives. Serve immediately.
Sounds like you’ve got Halloween treats for the adults and for the kiddos. But I have to ask, what other fruit is orange besides an orange or tangerine (or clementine)?
When I say the kids I mean the Grandchildren! We’re having fun with the fall colors in Cantelope, Mango and Papaya along with the orange family.
Sounds yummy! I love the halloween smiles on your grandchildren! Simply beautiful!
They are so excited!
This drink looks so good. I am more of a wine drinker, but I think I would love to try this. Your littles are too cute and I am sure they enjoyed the healthy goodies.
This drink looks so good. It’s after Halloween now but I’m going to make it tonite.
